The GAME Group Plc - Appointment of Group Finance Director

The GAME Group Plc [GAME], Europe’s leading retailer of video games and computer software, is pleased to announce the appointment to the board of David Thomas as Group Finance Director.
Mr Thomas, aged 41, a chartered accountant, joins GAME from Millennium and Copthorne Hotels PLC where he has been since November 1998, initially as Vice President of Finance and then as Group Finance Director. Previously he held a variety of senior financial positions with House of Fraser PLC and Forte PLC.
He succeeds Martin Long who becomes the Group’s Chief Executive on 1 February 2004. The date of David’s arrival at GAME will be announced in due course.
